One-time corporate voice of Channel Z and More FM overnight guy, more recently drive host on Life FM, Asher Bastion has today been appointed Programme Director of the Christian youth station.

"We are very excited to have appointed Asher to the role of Programme Director," says Rhema Broadcasting Group Director of Programmes Terry Cobham.

"He has the skills and experience to continue to develop the station and is strongly supportive of the role we see Life FM playing in New Zealand's media landscape."

Asher trained at the New Zealand Broadcasting School in Christchurch, graduating with a Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications in 2003 and since then has worked at More FM and Channel Z in Wellington, More FM Auckland and Life FM.

He has also worked in television news, presenting Shine TV's national news programme, Nzone Tonight.

"It's awesome to be able to lead this great group of broadcasters," says Asher.

"We want to make sure that Life FM is real and relevant to today’s generation and something people want to listen to."
